Kya Huaa Tera Vaada is the story of P Singh and MS, a young couple who live in Mumbai with their three childrenThe plot revolves around their lives 12 years after their marriage Between all their work they try their best to find time for each other but every time, their children, is what creates a wedge between them. This wedge is defined when P starts an affair with AN, his old college friend whom he had been in love with before agreeing to an arranged marriage with Mona. When the affair is revealed, P leaves Mona and moves in with AN, filing for divorce from Mona. Thus begins Mona's battle for her own identity and her children to show P and AN that she is more than just a mere housewife.

begins with Anu looking out of the window and seeing P and M leaving for the wedding gets really angry and asks her spoon ML WU? You said he had a meeting? ML feigns ignorance and just then S is passing by Anu calls him and first after reaffirming that he is P’s best friend and will always know his whereabouts asks him…where has P gone? So just because you are someones best friend you should be aware of his itinerary? S innocently replies To M’s cousin’s wedding because of Ms parent’s putting pressure…saying this he walks off but not before Anu reassures him smilingly that she is not at all angry with P and he is free to go anywhere ML the dimwit that she is doesn’t understand before Anu explains to her that now both of them will go uninvited to that same wedding and reveal Ms pregnancy news in front of the crowd saying that even though the child will be born after 9 months the reverberations will be felt today itself.
A rare appearance followed by actual words from MLs husband who asks where the hell she is as they are waiting for her at dinner ML says she is going with Anu for the wedding and Her husband blasts her for being Anus sppon saying she is only going to create trouble come home but ML flips him off and says she will come later M’s in laws are shown listening to the whole thing and feel sorry for the second sons incapacity to lie about ML’s where abaouts SU says we should inform M immediately that Anu is coming there but her husband says no if u do that M will leave of course if she had phoned M there would be no drama left tomorrow .Cut to the engagement where P is now begging M to walk with him and not run away from him as it looks odd in front of the whole crowd to be walking away from each other this guy is becoming a professional beggar either he is begging Anu to stay back or begging M not to marry or walk with him M puts on her trademark uncomfortable, quizzical, tortured and sad all in one look and just then her cousins parents welcome them.M chides them for having not told her about the engagement her cousins mother says sorry and says that she hopes her daughters marriage should be as strong as M’s who immediately says no and then blurts out to remedy the situation saying she wants it to be stronger…of course the mandatory 12 saal ho gaye tumhari shaadi ko jaap begins now first by M’s aunt and then endless number of times by the other relatives The photographer comes in and forces M and P to stand next to each other and for P to put his arms around M who is visibly uncomfortable As soon as the photo is over and the group disperses M asks P to keep his hands off her P begins his mandatory once in an episode blasting of M that he came only for her fathers sake and he did not come of his own free will…he has no qualms leaving right then leaving M again with the all in one look once more Just then M’s parents come in with the kids all decked up who compliment M on her looks M’s father lets out a moronic sentence saying that they all look good and should stay together like this forever before stares fly at him fast and furious ranging from “Are you mad” to “How can that hapen?” He backtracks saying be together in this function at least M and P then walk over to the wedding couple. M’s cousin the bride says what a big fan of M bhabhi she is and she has her dress modeled on hers etc the groom not to be left behind joins in saying he can immediately recognize M as he has heard so much from her and how he was convinced to marry after hearing about M and P’s atoot bandhan of 12 saal M and P look at each fidgetingly again before the groom asks P to come for a drink who says sorry I dont drink yeah right I only wink at ladies in pink near the sink  Anyways the groom whisks him away to the bar where P gulps not one but 3 straight neat leaving the groom mighty impressed not bad for a first time drinker Just then S and PM walk in and the usual stale attempt at humor on the lesbian angle again takes off PM tries to get S to say hi to a hot lady and S rightly refuses saying he wants to talk to P about Anu’s arrival at their house PM chides his horMl imbalance and walks off.Just then M is introducing her kids to some guests and notices that the youngest Rajbir is missing and goes all over searching for him a guest calls out saying he is downing cold drink after cold rink a chip of the old block I must say the father has gulped 3 straight at his bar and the boy is downing his drinks here M calls the eldest daughter and chides her for not taking care of the youngest one and being too lost in herself PM calms her down and PM says  its ok relax in this crowd…kids will run around and M says if she does not see them together she gets upset that’s strange M three months back Rajbir was missing for two months completely but you were fine then guess he has an invisible cloak to play with at home.The kids are sitting with each other and wonder why the parents are now edgy and angry all the time when Bulbul says that post separation they are like thi M’s aunt hears it and expresses surprise and catches M off guard by asking her are u separated? Just then M’s mother comes and says  no its about begin separated in the wedding not in real life and M and the kids are forced to toe the line…after the two aunties have left, M reaffirms her love for her kids saying ever since they separated their love for the kids has only increased and not gone down R says  we don’t mind less love but please come back to us and live with us and M hugs her and cries P asking M to say if he is not her hubby still. M smiles n he is confused. She says she won’t answer that question, pointing to Anu, she will answer to it. M leaves staring at both.M thinks its beautiful and is raining but still she didn’t realize that and she hums some tune.Anu shouts at him saying, he brought her to his home and still doing M jaap she adds M is not his wife anymore and how can he show his domination over her? She goes on shouting at him n leaves from there.A staff member asks M if she isn’t leaving. M says she is abt to. P sees that n goes to Anu’s room and keeps the door open . M is confused. He goes to Anu and apologizes. Anu is angry on him but he says he shouldn’t have spoken to M like that. He don’t care what she does but if she (Anu) is hurt he can’t bear. He hugs her and says, to him, she is more important and none else. He was watching M’s reactions. He says why not make this evening more beautiful and go somewhere for dinner. M leaves from there and he parts away from Anu.Anu asks where can they go, they have said no to her friend’s invitation too. P remembers the restaurant name where M n J are meeting. So he suggests the same.M reaches the restaurant and enquires abt J’s table. She is guided into a room. J was staring out through the window M was wiping away the dust on the saree. J sees her n mesmerizes and gives her a tissue. She apologizes for her being late as it is raining heavily.J says its that she came here in such climate also. M says she is not alone n then kids enter. J looks like taken a back but says that ok n now it will be more fun with kids. She asks him to order for a bigger table n he agrees.P n Anu enters, Anu asks the staff for a private table but he says its filled. She says its not her style n was abt to leave but P insists her. They sit and P ji in search for M. He excuses on the name of restroom n searches for them.He finds them sitting n having dinner together all happily. P thinks, M has no brain, she herself done wrong in meeting J and now she also brought kids to introduce to him.J having fun with kids. Bulbul says abt the tennis n R says she won 1st prize for a poem n recites too on J’s acceptance. M observing him all through. J appreciates R n says ur mom must have been proud of her ri8? R says yes but also sad as her dad left the program in btw n didn’t return. M feels uncomfortable on this n stops her. J says its not good to stop to say their words which they feel.

Bulbul fi8′s reg. it as not to share all house things with others. J says they are very sweet. He asks M to say something abt herself. He heard a lot abt her from others but how does she share her feelings? He compares with rain. P was commenting from side that if he likes rain go in stand in rain why to eat M’s brain?M was abt to say then again R asks whether he got any prizes? then did he got any taunts from the teachers? J keeps on answering n M says that if he keeps on answering they go on ask him. He says its good habit. His parents never stopped him from asking so that’ the reason he was able to share his feelings that day. R again asks abt his home then east or west M thinks J must know that her life is not only her’s she is for her kids and she can’t marry him nor kids can accept him as their father. Hope he understands and breaks this rista.Rajbeer saying abt his car that its not working n R throws it. P was abt to come running but stops. Bulbul repairs it. J appreciates but Rajbeer complains that its not working. M says she will get new one 2moro. but J asks to give ti and repairs it. and it works.M appreciates and asks how did he know all this? He says his childhood’s mechanism worked. In his college days he used to take his dad’s car without his knowledge and when ever it’s spoiled out of fear he used to repair it.He adds there isn’t any difference btw the 2 cars but his hands shaken then. even 2day too his was lil nervous. He covers up saying if he didn’t get it done what will he answer to the kids? P was like want to kick him as he is mingling with M n kids very well. He leaves from there thinking he can’t see anymore.Anu says she is feeling awkward there as everyone are seeing them. P seeing at M n team n Anu asks where is he seeing and she adds she know what he is thinking. P panics.T gets call from Jia n she says that she needs to talk to her something imp. n asks her to come home. But T says there aren’t anyone in home so she can’t. But Jia insists n T agrees.Alok says that he called her for talking abt J’s proposal. He says that he is a very good chap and his proposal is not bad. M is shocked to listent his.She says how can it be good. She is the mother of 3 kids and she is not ready to marry anyone else. She heard that marriage happens only once and he will be everything for the girl. Which she did and now she is scared to believe in herself how can she trust some other person?Alok says even life gives chance only once. She is his elder daughter n he want her to settle before he dies. He explains that a life partner is necessary for everyone. Kids or friends may leave in old age but not life partner. He adds J is very good and he can’t do wrong to her. he will be proved a good life partner as well as good father for her kids.M says P was also good n she believed in him. But what happened? She adds that how can kids accept some one else as their father? Alok tries to explain her and asks her to promise that she will meet J. He was falling sick and she says she will meet n makes him lie down on the bed.ML comes with food for T and starts instigating her against M. She says J didn’t do good by choosing M instead of T who got ready very well for him. He rejected her and chose M. She says all blah blah T says she is not at all feeling surprised as everyone likes M as she is so sweet and loving. She would have felt bad if he chose her (ML) instead of her (T). ML goes away and T satires aksing if she won’t serve her dinner? ML says if she is not hungry then its not good to force to eat. T thinks she thinks she can instigate her against M.M standing in balcony and thinking deeply and SU comes. She says she has done wrong to in not thinking abt M when she very well know that P will not return now. She says she too has ri8 to enjoy the life and get married. J is good guy and she too asks her to meet once.P smoking inthe bed room n Anu coughs n says that he must go and smoke in the balcony n not here as she is allergic to the smoke. P thinks the diff. btw M n Anu.M in the balcony thinking how can she marry and there won’t be any diff. btw her n P, if she too gets married. M’s antar-atma comes and says what’s wrong in that. Kids too need good parvarish n it happens when she too has a life partner. Their needs will be fulfilled too. M says she don’t want to marry but her antar-atma says atleast meet him first. M was abt to say something but she sees P.Both have eye lock session and she sees him smoking n he stops smoking seeing her.P n Anu fi8 at the break fast table. Alok comes and says he is here as M’s father. He want M to get married to J and they thought a lot abt it. P n Anu are shocked.
